What this site keeps.

The AI bot
When you ask the bot something, your message goes to Anthropic, the company behind the Claude model, so it can write the answer. Anthropic handles it under its own privacy policy.
The bot stores nothing in your browser. If it hits an error, the hosting provider briefly keeps a short technical log of that error so I can fix it.
Your conversation isn’t saved on my end. I don’t keep a copy. Close the tab and it’s gone.
To keep the bot from being abused, the server reads your IP address and holds it in memory for about a minute. It is never written down.
Please don’t paste anything confidential into it.
Saved conversations
Each question you ask and the answer it gets are saved to a private spreadsheet, so I can see what people actually want to know and fix answers that miss.
- What’s saved: the question, the answer, the time, which page you were on, and a random ID that keeps one conversation’s questions in order. A new ID is made every time the page loads.
- What isn’t: your IP address, or anything about your device or connection. If you type your name or company into a question, that text is saved as part of the question.
- Who sees it: me. Nobody else.
- How long: 12 months, then it’s deleted automatically.
The spreadsheet lives in my Google account, so Google stores it. If you want something you asked removed, email me roughly when you asked and I’ll delete it.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It collects things like your browser, device type, rough location and the pages you view. It doesn’t tell me who you are. It uses cookies, which are covered below.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Here is everything on this site that could set one.

To block or clear cookies, use your browser’s settings, or any standard tracker blocker. For Google Analytics specifically, Google offers an opt-out add-on.
Fonts, video and hosting
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page opens.
- Two case studies embed Vimeo videos, which load from Vimeo when you open those pages.
- Links to YouTube, Wikipedia and other sites load nothing until you click them.
- The site is hosted on Netlify, which, like any host, sees standard request data such as IP addresses in order to serve the pages.
Anthropic, Google, Vimeo and Netlify are all based in the United States. If you’re visiting from somewhere else, your data is handled in the US.
Children
This site is meant for adults looking at my work. It isn’t aimed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect anything from them.
